On the third Friday of every month October Books presents an open mic night night where we have storytellers, poets and writers of all different kinds come together for an evening of prose, poems, spoken word and more.
We were delighted to have Anna Hughes, Director of Flight Free UK with us on the evening of 10th August. Anna provided a fascinating talk about the impact of carbon emissions from flying and also inspired us in talking about the benefits of travelling by other means.
The event involves an inviting atmosphere for like-minded people to meet the author and the opportunity to purchase a signed copied. This is a free entry event with a smart dress code, nibbles and fizz/none fizz on arrival and the chance to meet new people in a relaxing environment.
