Festive fare for all
The lovely Sustainable chef, Andy Oakey, was in the shop at the weekend, demonstrating how to make some wonderful vegan Yorkshire puddings, which were scrummy. He brought along copies of the second edition of his book which we now have in store.
The demo got us thinking about festive fare and recipes for everyone and we wanted to share some of our favourites.
Broke Vegan by Sam Dixon came out at the end of December last year, too late for Christmas 2022 but still in stock for 2023. There are other books in this series, all vegan and all great recipes.
More recently released The Farm Table by Julius Roberts is a more expensive purchase but is packed with the authors honest tales of farming life and easy, thoughtful dishes to reconnect us to nature and the seasons
And our last recommendation is from the queen of cakes, Mary Berry, with her My Kitchen Table: 100 Cakes and Bakes. A cake making book with a small price tag, with everything from banana muffins to Christmas cake.
