The Flying Adventures of Two Penguins by Peter Hayward
A pair of penguins known as Pen and Gwyn lived in Antarctica.
Pen was an inquisitive penguin and had made friends with one of the men who, like the others, was a research scientist there to study the continent. For most of his life Pen has studied and envied the birds in his Antarctica home. Yes penguins flew under the sea and were masters of their skill but that wasn't the same as flying in the air like the birds.
As Pen grew older he started to map out in his mind how he could fly.

A First For Us Both: A single mother's fight for survival by Jennifer Kay Davies
This is the story of a twenty-two-year-old single mother fighting for survival in this brutal world. The story isn't unique, it isn't extraordinary, but it is one that is lived by millions of people and yet kept hidden away behind closed doors, brushed under the carpet, not only ignored but twisted in untruths by the rest of society.
Filled with ups and downs, this novel is all about the emotional and mental journey undertaken by Emma as she must learn how to grow not only as a mother, but also as a young woman in a life far removed from her peers.
