New publications
An eclectic mix of new publications from Macmillan and Harper Collins this month. Jack, our book buyer has started meetings with reps from these publishers so expect to see a few more title from them over the coming months
The first new title is Tattoos, The untold history of a Modern Art by Matt Lodder. A book for our new Art/Architecture and Craft section in the shop, this book brings to light new research on the history of the tattoo and is filled with exceptional colour plates.
The Company of Owls by Polly Atkin was out on the 7th November and is a joyous tale of Polly’s encounters with a family of tawny owls near her home in Cumbria. Described as a love song to these wonderful creatures, the book is a lesson in learning to listen when all around us seems clamour and noise.
The last in these new publications is The Dream of a Tree, by author of The History of Bees, Maja Lunde and translated by Diane Oatley. Published during COP29, the book is a chilling tale about our responsibility to this planet and poses questions that our age is striving to answer.
All books available in store or on our soon to be launched online shop.
