Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers Needed!

We wouldn’t be here without volunteers.

Now we’re back open six days a week we’re looking for more volunteers to join our team! Have a few hours a week spare? Like what we do, represent and want to be part of our community? Looking to get some work experience?

Volunteers are also invited to socials and get 20% off books after completing five weeks of regular volunteering with us.

Right now we need assistance with:

Deliveries of customer orders. Throughout lockdown we’ve been helping those who have been shielding by delivering orders to them. Though things are opening up we still want to support those who still don’t feel comfortable going out, or struggle getting to the shops. We need volunteers who are able to turn up at the shop to collect deliveries on Tuesday and Friday between 3.30-4pm. Delivering to our customers by foot, bike or even car for some of the heavier deliveries.

Maintaining our online selling platform. Uploading and updating our older, second hand and more specialist stock onto our Biblio store.

A Community Space working group. Helping assist getting our community space ready for when we can open it again for hire. Be that cleaning or DIY.

General bookshop assistance
be that popping to the post office for us to send postal deliveries. Covering the till and assisting customers. Helping with cleaning, tidying, sorting books and other odd jobs like watering the plants.

Interested? Get in touch and ask for a volunteer form. Or inquire in store.

We are open:

Monday - Saturday
10am - 4pm

We are back open six days a week, with the whole store open for browsing. We will still of course be taking customer orders and you will still be able to buy food and cleaning products online through our online store.

We are able to be open 6 days a week again because of your consideration and care whilst in the shop. Keep doing what you’re doing and leave that extra space, sanitise those hands and pull on that mask. We know you’re smiling underneath it :)

You will see we have a QR code at the door, if you have the NHS COVID-19 app downloaded to your smart phone please scan this as you enter the shop.
