October Books in Print Again!

October Books in Print Again!

Following on from our appearance in Louise Boland’s Bookshop Tours of Britain back in November, we are excited to announce that we are in print again, this time as part of a Guide to community Bookshops published by the Booksellers Association, a membership organisation for all booksellers in the UK & Ireland, representing over 95% of bookshops.

The guide provides a step by step approach to starting your own community bookshop, from research and visioning before you start, through the different types of business model and how to fund, staff and engage your community in building your enterprise. We know we love what we do here at October Books and being a community bookshop is such an important part of this. You can find an electronic copy of the guide itself here and the BA are currently discussing a print run, so we will let you know when we have physical copies in the shop.

If you are thinking about setting up your own community bookshop, then please do drop us a line info[at]octoberbooks[dot]org
