Update on Book Availability & Contact Hours

Unfortunately, our main book supplier has temporarily stopped supply of books because of the current situation. This means our ability to source books will be reduced for the time being. If there’s something you’re after, please search our catalogue online as we may have it in stock.

We are still offering free delivery of books, food and cleaning products in the SO17, SO18, SO14 and SO15 postcodes. (If you live outside of these areas and require delivery - please do ask. We are a small team, but will do our best to accommodate you where possible)

The shop is still closed to passing trade. Collections can also be arranged, as can paid delivery to those of you who are further afield. If you do order food from us do consider buying an extra item or two, which we can then donate to our local Food Bank.

The telephone line is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, from 10 til 4. Call on 023 8058 1030.

We are able to supply ebooks and audiobooks, just let us know what you’re after. This is a new service for us so items may take a few days to come through as we set up processes for this service.

As many customers already know, we have October Books gift vouchers available to purchase - these can be spent on any item in the shop - food/books/household/gifts. If you would like to purchase OB vouchers as gifts for a friend or family member, this will give us a hugely appreciated short-term cash boost and will give your favourite human the happy prospect of spending these once life returns to something approaching normal.
